There are lots of ways to play scales on guitar, but there is one type of pentatonic scale that I get a ton of mileage out of. In this video I cover the 2 easiest versions of this scale pattern, using an alternating pattern of 2 notes on one string and 3 on the next (or the other way around). They sit really comfortably under your fingers and can be used as a pathway to move around to different areas of the fretboard. I demonstrate how I use it for soloing and double stops, and give some practice suggestions.
