Lesson Overview:
In this lesson I’m talking about a subject that intermediate guitar players can struggle with. How do you make interesting solos from scales? The questions is an important one, and the way you practice can either lend itself to your solos sounding like wrote, mechanical exercises, or interesting and expressive solos.
I introduce the ideas of chunking and rhythmic variation to help you practice in a more musical way. The idea is that if you practice your scales in these different ways, you’ll naturally prepare yourself much better for playing interesting solos.
