Rhythm is the foundation of music, and if we actively focus on the way our rhythm feels when we play, we can make a lasting impact on the way our playing sounds.
In this lesson and practice workout I present and work through 4 exercises, all using swing 16th notes. The exercises all use a portion of the E major scale in one position on the neck.
The workout is made up of the four exercises at 3 different tempos so you play through or work up your speed on these exercises. These are just ideas of notes to play so the important part is that you internalize the concept and start focusing on your rhythm more closely.
